WCVB is my favorite news channel but it’s app is hindered by it’s notification alerts. Often I’ll receive an alert but I am directed to the main page and can’t find the story from the alert. Very frustrating!!
The app is fine and is useful for keeping up on local stories. Frequently, however, I’ll tap on a notification to be brought to the landing page or weather, rarely to the story that I was noticed about. I’ve tried searching but the story never shows up on the app.
Seriously bad motion effects, many people are affected by such, and there is no way to disable it. Much of the content is not local. With videos one is forced to watch long ads, almost as long as the content. A 30-second ad with no option to skip is not acceptable for a 45-second piece… 😡
I am a native of Massachusetts , and channel 5 has always been my favorite news channel and still is , it give you accurate news reporting. All though I left Massachusetts and moved to sunny Arizona 2 years ago I continue to tune in to channel 5 news with this app. The app is easy to navigate and it gives me alerts. “ I truly appreciate this wonderful app “. One of the reports said he was wearing 5 to 6 layers of clothing. Really, lol. Why do they embellish so much. Is that a class they take, Embellishing 101? When you do that you are lying.
