The journal does what I need, but I really dislike that I have to enter in my password to re-lock it when I’m finished with my entry. I like that it requires a password to open it, but a password to close it is a waste of time. I really wish it would just auto lock upon closing like other private apps do.
In the first entry it did a word count. In the 2nd entry the word count was no where to be found. I even searched for and followed Penzu’s own instructions, but to no avail. I have word count goals. Please help.
I would like to start by saying thank you to the developers for offering a lifetime option - we all have enough subscriptions and it is nice to have the option to pay for something just once! I love that I can create different journals, with different fonts and themes and add tags to keep things organized. I would love to see the developers add a little more flexibility to the formatting to make it feel more like a physical journal, with the ability to place stickers and put things wherever I want on the page (kind of like OneNote or programs like that). Great app overall - highly recommend!
My biggest concern is the inability to view my password as I type. My password is lengthy, so to avoid getting locked out I've had to make a note in my phone so I can cc & paste. Stupid - I guess they think my password should be like a simple pin?? I've been a paying subscriber for years and now, using this app, every time I log in I get a pop up asking about scheduling a reminder to write. This journal is a useful TOOL and when I'm working I don't like being sidetracked. What next? My dishwasher asking me if it should remind me to clean the dishes?
App ui becomes unresponsive frequently, crashes a lot and has sync issues with web version. It's fine as long as you add new docs but if you edit docs both on desktop and mobile, i would not be sure which version survives. I have lost edits and improvements on my docs when opened on mobile. The only way I can trust my docs anymore is if I stick with either desktop or mobile. Not both.
