I like the concept of having Wikipedia as an app on the desktop, and it works. But just that , it only works. Often when reading an article the screen will suddenly shift to another article altogether forcing me to re-establish the desired article. Probably the most vexing complaint is that to this date I have been totally unable to see any pictures with the app. In every space where a picture should be , there is a question mark. Really bugs me.
My only problem is pictures won’t load but besides that best app for saving wiki articles and viewing them whenever!!!!!!!!
How many times must you click on the text input field before it finally gets focus? I count two, at least, which is two to many. A well designed app should open with the text input field already in focus. This from an app which has just one input box. I don’t know if there is anything better but I’m looking.
Previous reviewer warned it was out-of-date, but I took a gamble. Not just out-of-date, but actually broken. Pictures don’t work, neither bitmap nor svg. Printed matter looks fine, and you can have serif fonts if you want. In fact, any font on your machine. But without illustrations, it’s not too useful.
This app was great at first but after downgrading my system after a SSD drive install, it has been completely useless - (even though I'm in accord with the compatability specs listed above) ! Attempts to get feedback from customer service have failed.
