The Angie app is good, but has lots of quirks. Most leads are garbage but Angie charges you anyways. Some leads are good. I’d say one out of five so you have to build that into your overall cost which makes it expensive. The Angie staff is nice but they can’t always fix the problems that you have. Lots of people looking for free service on here which is bad.
Running my startup business has been good and all, testing new waters, then I stumbled upon Angi leads. My sale representative managed to convince me to join and told me all the info, but managed to keep away the fact that they charge you for every lead even if you don’t get it… As a start up business this really put a whole in my pockets because I was being charged way more for cheap jobs AND the fact that I wouldn’t even get the jobs, as well as my credit being denied for not getting the lead. I feel like this all has so much potential, but these prices are ABSURD and I will have to stop my business with them because of this. L
I have been with this company since they were Service Magic and boy have they gone to crap. They send leads that don’t even pertain to the services you provide and then when you try to get a credit they deny it. Seems like they don’t care about their customers, they are just concerned with getting your money. Nothing but greed. I am looking for another place to advertise because I no longer see a chance to make a decent living using Angi homes.
Since I’m paying for all leads that come into my account, I would prefer to have the default setting turned to pause all leads. When I want leads, I will turn it on. Right now, this app is set up opposite of that. Leads are always on unless you pause them. Maximum amount of pause time is only 48 hours. If I forget to pause leads again in two days, I may end up getting leads that I’m not prepared to respond to. I suppose this is how Angie’s list makes their money so I’m not surprised it’s set up this way.
All is great, plenty of opportunities but I don’t like how you have to pay for a job even if they customer doesn’t answer you, or if they decide not to go through with the job! There needs to be a set desk whether I get the job or someone else got it! Nothing is followed up with within the app! I’m not going to continue to pay for things that I’m not even involved with!
