It hung up on me. I had to restart it for every new scan and it didn't capture all of the data from my contact page properly.
Well, it's a free app, so whatcha gonna do? But I honestly don't know how this got into the app store. The menus don't operate correctly (Google menu is blank) The hotkeys aren't listed, and it has no edit menu. Unless the HIG has changed a bit, this isn't a Android app. Okay, so that aside. It does operate, it generates codes FAST. But I can't vouch for the verasity of the content. The codes do look a bit biggere than average, though I don't know what the standards are for the QR codes.
Scanning the code thru various scanners yields different results. In some cases it only captures the contact name. A different scanner showed the full detail. Then I went to a free QR code generator site online, entered in the same stuff as the contact card, and scanned it with the first scanner (as above) and it captured all the information. So it's kind of a weird experience, makes me think this app is unreliable? Why would the first scanner work fine on the web generated QR code but not on one created with this app?
I can't seem to get this app to work properly. Maybee its my QR code readers on my Android but as far as I can tell this app is a flop.
This is pretty cool, but I really think it needs the ability choose what information from a given contact shows up in the image. The ability to not include some information would be great.
