Don’t buy this app. Not only have I paid $30 for this app, but the app itself is stained with a giant Rage ad banner on the bottom pushing the walkthrough videos. I take the bait and click on it just to discover that you charge $30 more for those tutorials. I can’t believe I wasted this money; The app doesn’t even have full FTP convenience. Lowsy. Shameful. Deceitful.
Very happy. The only thing that can possibly go wrong when publishing your website is… well, everything. So, it was with great trepidation that I made the attemp to use this. It places Google Analyitics code on every page of your site and that alone is worth the price especially if you frequently update your pages. When it came time to publish, as long as you copy the ftp info from iWeb, that you have been using all along, it's seamless. Finally the perfect upgrade for iWeb. Now if we could just get an app that would let us use PayPal and a shopping cart. This app is definitely worth the 30 bucks!
Works great on non iWeb sites too! Simple, fast, and to the point. What more could you ask for. And, as far as I can see, they update it pretty often.
The SEO Tool does what iWeb does not. You really need this program if you want your iWeb site to come up in a search engine site. I've used it for three different sites, two hosted on Mobile Me and the other on GoDaddy and it works well. There are still annoying things that iWeb does with images that the SEO Tool can't fix. It is easy to add your Google Analytics code and favicon, too. I've not had any problems with it doing strange things that other people have reported. Works as advertised. :)
I have not seen the tracking work yet since I just used the app - however, I viewed the source for my pages and the code is there. If you host your site on your own domain, It does make it necessary to use an ftp app or some other tool to publish your site instead of publishing directly from iWeb. I think it would be a gret addition to the app to support sites hosted anywhere, but it is not a huge inconvenience to publish the site to a local folder and then "upload" the pages from that folder to my hosting service.
