I tried the Time Zone Icon app before this one, and I found Time Zone Icon had the time totally wrong for Sydney. Very happy to see that ZoneClock got the time correct! Now I have a functional app.
Wow, I didn't realize this app needs to be setup manually, it doesn't automatically look up a city's timezone. You have to set the difference with UTC time yourself which requires some Googling to figure that out. It also doesn't seem to support dailight saving's time which is a serious bummer (again you have to set this manually). Finally the military time (24h) is being treated wrong resulting in times being displayed as: 24h45. Pretty expensive app for limited functionality. Some other remarks: 1. Please make the icon more subtle, even when it's grayscale it takes up too much space and clutters up the menu bar. No icon at all would be even better. 2. Please make the font size variable. The current font size is the same as the default clock, I would like it to be smaller. 3. Hide/remove the app from the dock. Forsee minimize buttons for the settings window.
This app (last version) doesn't hide itself - it stays launched in your app bar on the bottom of the screen and you have to manually hide it to get the setup screen off your desktop while it's running. The clocks are not formatted well - you have to manually space the time and add interim characters. The company's orange logo sits next to them. The final straw is the clocks don't even set themselves - so if you want a new city, look up the time and manually input the offset. This is completely ridiculous. Skip this..there are better apps at this
This apps alright. its not bad or anything, and its a good idea. it just lacks customizability, what all us Google people look for since Google gives almost none to us stock. Luckily, I got this via promo code, so i didnt have to pay the six bucks. Hoping to see some change.
Does not work as advertised (v1.27) on Android Air (OS 10.6.6) . Check box (first one) is unresponsive. Can type in half hourly increments such as +5.5 UTC but the App takes in only the +5!
