Great software, great people. This is a simple app that solves an annoying problem. What I use it for: -Hiding my messy desktop during calls or screensharing -To blur my background and help me pay attention to what needs my focus -To personalize my machine a bit more I use this in conjunction with HazeOver, and think the combo is more useful than it might sound given their similarities. But I wanted to support this app and Many Tricks because their contributions to everything happening with the Ukrainian people while they are being invaded.
When I'm writing, reading or thinking about something I really want to hide everything but the singular app (and usually app window) that I'm interacting with. But I don't want to make it fullscreen and mess with the scaling of things and what not. This app does just what I have been wanting by allowing me to quickly and easily hide everything - desktop icons, other windows, etc., but mainly the desktop icons since they cannot be easily hidden and restored. This app really helps me focus and remove clutter from my vision. The only fault I'd share, and it's quite minor, is there is a flicker when changing windows, desktops, and other window related things. But since that is a "cosmetic" problem and not something that happens when I'm focusing my attention on a window, I didn't reduce my rating for this minor glitch. I'm generally impressed with the work from Many Tricks. Thank you for your contributions.
This is such a fantastic solution for Webex presentations! I'm convinced my team thinks I'm super organized now, but secretly (even with Stacks) I'm a slob.
Very useful when you need to focus on reading one page or watch video. Reliable and easy to use.
I use this app to cover my desktop for presentations and it does a great job. Simple yet feature rich. I also use it to hide my desktop clutter so I can concentrate when I work. My only concern is that the app hasn’t been updated for some time. As long as they remain invested in maintaining and improving the app, I think it’s well worth the price.
