Well designed and easy to use. The look and sounds of the little alarm are nice and could easily less interesting with less effort. If I had any criticism for improvements, it would be to have a volume conrol on the alarm sound, but I am happy with the app.
I use Nag to remind me to get up from the desk to exercise. It seems to be flexible enough for other, yet unknown, uses, too.
I really like it. The key to a timer is to be able to set it quickly. I use this for The Pomodoro Technique, but it also has the flexbility for when I decide to write for an hour without going online or spend 20 minutes processing email. My problem. It has a top of the hour button to nag you at the top of the next hour, whenever that is. It also has a 1 hour button to time you for an hour. On mine the 1 hour button sets the alarm for the top of the hour as well instead of for 60 minutes. So I just hit 30 min twice if I want an hour. Small thing, but I can’t give it 5 starts because of this.
As the top-rated review for this app put it so well, Nag is half-baked. Where is the missing funtionality that is in the excellent Android app? There are several miising features which keep this app from greatness. C'mon developers -- stop resting on your laurels, and get working. Where are the visual cues, the shaking, which is so cool in the Android app? How about multiple alarms, or simple keyboard shortcuts instead of clicks? Menubar icon? Choice of sounds? Why no option for notifications?? The Android app is much more functionally superior--give this a miss.
I use it when studying, I set the timer for 25 minutes and then get 5 minutes of break. This has helped me in my productivity.
