I installed it, and all the sudden I had several problems with my computer. It added some random Keychains, I suddenly couldn't type in the app when re-logging into the website FTP; and it keeps your history on there, so someone else using the computer can get into your website. I found malware on my computer after a scan, too. Remember when FTP software used to just work? Fetch was working fine until Ventura OS. Is there a better JUST WEBSITE (not let's scan your Finder) FTP client (that is a one-time cost or Free)?
I've been using Cyberduck for at least 5 years now, and have found it considerably more reliable and easy to use than FileZilla, which I was using previously. Not to say that FZ is bad. Just that, in my experience, Cyberduck has been WAY better.
Hey, it gets the job done. Makes it really easy to transfer files. Just works. I'm sure there are fancier tools out there, but this does everything I want. Just easy to get stuff between my computer and servers.
Using it for easy access to SFTP to edit files from 3rd party vendor. Just Works, no yearly fees or adware.
I have been using CyberDuck for more than 5 years as my primary interface to the filesystem for my remote servers (usually via SFTP). The app does have some small quirks and issues, but overall its been fantastic. IMO, its superior to the likes of Filezilla (now bundling adware) and WinSCP. My primary usage is to edit source code for programs that live on the remote server, so I can open the code in my local editor via the Duck, let the Duck sync my changes back, and then I can compile and run the program from the terminal over ssh. It works really, really well. A much better solution than trying to edit source files directly in the terminal session (e.g. with vim or similar), and far more flexible than things like "remote file server" plugins for VS Code, etc.. My local editor of choice doesnt need to know anything about the nature of the file, I can just edit locally and run remotely. One reoccuring issue is that sometimes the local editor will lose track of the local copy of the file and syncing with the remote will stop; make sure you are keeping an eye on the Last Modified time stamps in CyberDuck to see that your changes are indeed making it back. Otherwise, this is one of my most beloved apps and its made my work, and my personal projects, sooooo much easier to manage. Thank you!!
