Aerospace Engineering 101 for Android

This app is really good and helpful especially if you want to study or get a job as an aerospace engineer.

I'm only 17 years old, so I feel I will get a head start through this app before I'm in college.

This app is very well laid out and presented. The information is presented in a very easy to understand nature with its bite sized titles for each topic. When the title reads aerospace engineering 101 one has to be careful not to expect more than the title would imply. Much of the information presented here is good for a junior or high school student looking to know what aerospace engineering is comprised of. It would help one to make a career choice based on the basic information presented in this app. However, for those who have already decided that this is the career choice for them will find much of the information to be of the common knowledge sort. There are a few nuggets here and there but for the most part these concepts are general knowledge for an aviation buff or one with similar interests. Finally, for the price it is well laid out and worth the time to really know if this is the career path for you or how you may be able to do use this sort of discipline should you choose to pursue it.

This app is abhorrent in its content AND the content's presentation. It seems that this app started as an exercise in creating an app, due to the apparent cut & paste approach to adding content. As for each section, take this example: the astronautics sections are nothing but a primer to the history of the space shuttle, and mentions ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about astronauts, either the people or the training they must accomplish to become astronauts. The only two reasons this app rated one star are these: 1) At least they created a plausible chapter list, which is shown on the left-hand side of the app. 2) there is no way to rate an app lower than one star on iTunes. My opinion is summed up thus: You can learn more about aerospace engineering by looking up the term in a dictionary or a thesaurus, that you can from this app. Save your money and treat yourself to a soda.
