The pager app by itself does not offer a true pager phone number that can be dialed from a phone. It's more of the front end that works with a virtual paging service. PagersDirect offers a package where the pager app is included with their virtual paging service for a substantial discount. Works great on the Android and even displays on the Google Watch.
Pager used to work, but is now a brick in all iOS 8 versions. They have been aware yet no fixes.
I purchased this app as well as a one year subscription. The app has stopped working and will not load after only a couple of months, and has now deleted my pager number and one year subscription, saying that I do not have a subscription and that I need to purchase one, as if I am a new customer. It is a scam! Do not purchase this app!
Was easy to setup, change the pager #. Tested & received quick page. Can't beat $4.99/year.
Work when you least expect it to... Worked great for a week then stopped with mo warning. Wrote support but they never answer ... There is no support!
