Too awkward and feels like dating

I love that the first thing you’re asked is if you’re wanting to date or not. For those just trying to make connections and NOT date, this is great. But then you get into the app and it’s the typical dating swipe left / swipe right. This was a huge turn off for me. This is the established method for dating, I think if you’re trying to do something for friends it will have to be something totally different. Maybe just a list of people that you can see and connect / message? The swipe factor is a huge no no for me. Also the groups seem to be national which is pretty useless for building community. There should be an ability to create your own local groups, for example me making a group in Houston

Not enough active users

I as a mixed race Asian was hoping for a good app to meet and date other Asians. Based on the distance of users and the reply rate (almost zero in one month if you count the scammer accounts). In theory this app would be great if it connected people close by.

It’s okay

I know that yuzu can’t prohibit other races/people from the app which is fine, but as an Asian man currently looking for other Asian friends and possibly an Asian women to date it’s even harder than on other dating apps. My biggest problem is that i can’t find anyone in my area even though I live in a big city it always says the people are 250 miles away. I love the idea and the people I’ve met are great… I don’t think I’ll continue to use this app
