FreshCut for Android

I don’t know what’s happening but when I use my phone number it sends me a verification code and when I type it in it says unknown error occurred. I tried for like 10 minutes and used different codes and was not successful. They should fix that ASAP.

The app is well built with great optimization tho it only has a few categories wish there was more as having just a variety tab doesn’t cut it also there is very little engagement but that is not the developers fault.

Honestly this platform is very useful, but it has some slight features and other things that would be considered a bit “choppy/janky.” I myself really love the Smash Community, but I wish there were a few more features that could be added that can make you get more of what you want. 1. Algorithm Now I don’t know much about how the algorithm works, but it’s pretty good. However upon speculation following someone gives you A LOT of their posts. I kept on running into a channel almost every 2 swipes (this also happens a lot when you are new, which I am). I think it’d be best if the algorithm gave you more variety that can range from watching pro players to watching more casual “hard-to-find” clips of cool gameplay. I also think that having an option to give general feedback directly through polls once in a while could help suit to everyone’s needs and overall make this application a better one for all gamers alike. 2. General Maneuverability/Optimization Overall it’s pretty good on this end. However swiping can feel pretty choppy as when you let go the next video immediately snaps into play. There’s not even enough time to react if I still wanted to watch the previous video. Also, finding your comment can be such a pain since it gets hidden by all the other comments half the time. It’d be great if there was a small section that you could click on that can take you to your comment(s) or just have them at the top. 3. Home/Main Channel? I love being put right into the action of the videos, but it’s a little disappointing that there is no page that shows some recommended videos or creators without directly finding a video to give you. It’d be nice to have a row of both “recommended” and “non-recommended” videos so that you can decide if you want to watch your favorite content creator or find someone new to watch. 4. Finally… I don’t really have much more to say. This whole thing is still relatively new and is definitely an interesting way of optimizing the gaming community a bit. Will FreshCut work well? Maybe or maybe not. But I believe this app has potential, and it just needs a few tweaks and things to add to fill up the “missing space.” (Honestly I think being able to see channel polls or posts [like YouTube] would be useful). Overall a great app and cannot wait to see how it continues to improve!
