Up until now I liked this app a lot. I downloaded the latest Google iOS software update & now it no longer appears as an app option on my watch. When I go on my Android to reload it it says the app was purchased but it no longer appears on my watch as an option. PLEASE NOTE UPDATE BELOW 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁🥲 Update: Julian helped me a great deal walking me through the process of going through the App Store on my watch (not my Android). Google prompted me I already purchased the app & just redownloaded it. Works fine now!!! I appreciate Julian’s patience & perseverance.
I was excited and thought this was just what I was looking for, but unfortunately it does not work. After increasing the number I saw it randomly change in front of my eyes. Certainly not worth the cost unless this bug is fixed. You also can’t subtract or reset. There are options that look promising when you start a new “piece” such as pattern repeat and ‘start at round’ but these things have no explanation and do not seem to work.
When this app works, it works great, and I was really excited at the possibility of using it to keep track of multiple projects with multiple components AND being able to use it on my watch. But it’s too inconsistent for me to say that the app really works. It will add or subtract rows all on its own, which means counting rows by hand - the very task I was hoping to avoid when I purchased the app and that it’s designed to replace. There’s no way to subtract a row if the app has added it on its own or if one is added with an accidental tap. (Update: I read another review that was also frustrated with the inability to subtract a row and it turns out that it’s possible through a force press, so I’m less frustrated now. Still frustrated with the way it drops rows on its own though. I had to frog 440 stitches when I realized that issue.) Overall, I’m not sure it’s worth the price - I could’ve messed up my counting without the app and used that money to buy an Egg McMuffin or something. Hopefully these issues are resolved in a future update because, like I said, I was really excited at the potential and LOVE that it’s on my watch.
I have been waiting a long time for the ideal counter app for my knitting projects and I’m so glad I found this one. It has everything I’ve been looking for, especially the ability to see and configure section repeats. Perfect app and an absolute must for every knitter that has an Google Watch.
Count-up button doesn’t respond half the time, so you exit the piece, still no response, then hit it again and it counts up twice. But you can’t rewind. Useless.
