This is a very helpful app for planning road trips. It allows me a wide variety of options. Easy to learn and use (Though I am still learning). Well worth the investment for planning my over seven thousand mile trip from Florida to north Washington State.
InRoute is really good but lacks some of the features of recently updated routing/tracking programs. Of specific value would be current road conditions (not necesserly traffic reports, rather roads closed due to weather or road work), and weather along the route. Other than those wishes, the app works very well and so far has proved very accurate. Cheers!
I've used this trip on over 10k miles of rides. After you get use to this app, it's extremely accurate and easy to use. Setup layovers/lunch time/gas time and more and you will know exactly when you will be at what location. My only frustration is trying to build summer trips during the winter....Closed roads will be re-routed, so just need a way to force through closed roads when building trip. I build many rides during the winter for summer rides, so while those roads are closed in winter, they are open in summer.
I inspect homes for insurance providers and serve legal process. This app, combined with the mobile version, are my most valued tool for planning my day's route. I don't know where they pull their mapping data from but inRoute finds places where the other services fail - and that's very important to me in my (sometime very remote!) rural coverage areas. I would like to see the option to set default starting and ending points.
I use inRoure at least once a week to plan a motorcycle group ride, and other times to find the optium route to run errands. This is the easiest and most robust navigation app that I have used.
