This app was down for a few days and when it came back 20 tickets disappeared from my wallet. Their bus drivers just show up for a paycheck you can actually track the busses on this app and watch a scheduled bus suddenly disappear and never coming to pick you up or an incoming bus veer off skipping your stop.
If you have the miss fortune of commuting from rockland to westchester and have to take the hudson link this app will further add to your displeasure. Buses that you think will come sooner will be there as scheduled but will not be going towards rockland, it will be going one stop away, the last white plains stop. You will also pay for your ticket on the app only to have it not register on the bus. Most bus drivers will be nice, ive been in arguments when a driver tried to make me pay twice for something that was the fault of the bus. Good luck trying to use the wifi on the bus also. This app has a lot of faults as well as the whole system of hudson link.
If you’re riding the Hudson Link line, you kind of have no choice but to use the app, but as far as I can tell, the schedule on the app bears little relation to what actually happens on the ground and what is posted on the fancy new boards at stops. It’s hardly real time. Unreal time is more like it.
1) Don’t even try to use the Trip Planner, useless. Drops you into Google Map navigation, defaulting to “Car” not “Bus” (it’s a BUS app!!!!). 2) They need to integrate Metro North train schedules. People rely on your bus service to get in/out of the city primarily. Make our lives easier, not harder to connect the dots. 3) Get ApplePay /Google Pay integrated. It’s easy to do, and will make your users lives easier. 4) Use “Sign In with Google” and “Sign in with Google”. Again, make our lives LESS complicated. 5) Alerts: Let me know when the bus I normally take is running behind schedule.
The lack of Google Pay is annoying. Would speed up process. Also the bar code reader on the bus does not read the tiny barcode on the app well. Please fix.
