You’re paying for much more than just a field guide—the photography alone is artwork and the user interface is streamlined and sleek. You’re paying for an updatable photography book by a number of talented/skilled photographers. I think complaints about price miss this—the work done to achieve something like this is immense and there is no comparable resource like it for Costa Rica. Physical field guides suffer from the fact that taxonomy is ever-changing and fluid. A guide such as this can be updated to add taxa and bring things up-to-date. This is the future of field guides.
Súper buena app, buen contenido y muy diverso, as a local Naturalist tour guide of Costa Rica is super helpful, easy to used, maybe in the future can put more info, but for start is good! También más información en español, detalles y demás!!! Free version is useless. Looks like it depends on WiFi for information so I’m not paying for full version. WiFi is very rare and slow in Costa Rica.
The information is not good unless you pay. And the free version is not compelling enough to make me want to pay (and possibly be disappointed).
Downloaded app on an Android 7 with 12.1.4 iOS. Opened the app and it just displayed the main screen. Tapping screen does nothing.
