Liek when I open it for even a 2 factor authentication to add an account to Canary it hurts my eyes lol Thank you for the awesome product : )
Pros -30 day trial (the apps that don't have a trial are crazy) -not too expensive -offers IMAP support (for protonmail) -sleek and responsive design -has categories (I don't get why others don't) -sensible design with lots of features Cons - no "mark all as read" option for a folder. Which is very annoying, you can ctrl a and then mark read but it will just mark the ones on that page read. I honestly am confounded by how hard this feature seems to be for mail clients - can't change archive folder per email typoe, so protonmail is permanently broken - when you search it just searches the emails on screen or currently downloaded (idk which one); their website says it search all emails but it does not. Also when you do this the system loads in new emails to fill those you've lost - you can't change the category of an email, so if it's marked "personal" then that's that - you can't highlight the background of text in an email which is a natively supported feature on many mail clients - it will sometimes complete an action and then reverse that action which is disorienting - there is no ability to add or remove labels to emails ???? - the emails sometimes don't mark as read when you click in and out of them Overall I'd say it's a rather buggy platform that focuses on looks before functionality. I get how hard that can be to create an actually non-buggy client. But search is basically broken for me, and that's a key feature.. you all should try dogfooding your software.... anyway, I still think that the client is good, espcially if you don't get hundreds of emails a day. I also think it's greate if you just want to be able to see all your emails from different services and are willing to deal with the headache. It has a nice UI and is also on android. To each their own, but I'm gonna go for thunderbird instead. Although, I do hope this mail client fixes its issues. I'd love to use it.
Been using Canary for a few months now, and very happy. I have more than a few Google devices, and have had no problems with sync. What I see on the next device is exactly what I just saw on the last device, and this is huge to me. I also liked paying one price, and then you're done. I'm finished with monthly fees from other email clients. Thanks Canary! Everything makes great sense.
I gave it a shot a few times, but I couldn't get Office 365 accounts to connect. I really wanted it to work considering their privacy policy.
bought app previously. unable to restore purchase because developers reupload new version of app. had bugh back before subscription model. but then the developers decided to make completely new versions of the app in order to circumvent previous supporters of the programs.
