1. Move beyond arithmetic with the Desmos scientific calculator! In addition to the basic operations, take advantage of a variety of built-in functions for exploring trigonometry, statistics, combinatorics, and more.
2. To that end, we’ve built a simple yet powerful scientific calculator that runs on the same blazingly fast math engine as our next-generation graphing calculator, but with a more streamlined set of features, for those times when you just don’t need a graph.
3. Arithmetic: In addition to the basic operations, the scientific calculator also supports exponentiation, radicals, absolute value, logarithms, rounding, and percentages.
4. Trigonometry: Evaluate the fundamental trigonometric functions and their inverses, using either radians or degrees for angle measure.
5. - Create and evaluate your own functions using familiar function notation.
6. At Desmos, we imagine a world of universal math literacy where math is accessible and enjoyable for all students.
7. - The “ans” key always holds the value of your last computation so that you never have to remember or copy a result.
8. Or, define and evaluate your own functions -- all for free.
9. Unlike many scientific calculators, all of your previous work remains visible on the screen.
10. Statistics: Compute the mean and standard deviation (sample or population) of a list of data.
11. If you change an earlier expression, the “ans” value updates automatically.

My son is studying engineering and this calculator along with the graphical Calculator , definitely is a must. Is very intuitive and can show the information in a coherent way.
You guys should definitely look into a way to have a “Save Equation” feature or something like the “Saved Graphs” section you have in the Desmos Graphing app. That would be amazing, even if it was an option for people only if they’re signed in I would download this app just for that (if i hadn’t aalready).
This is the best calculator I have found for iOS yet. I have two relatively minor complaints, though. First it would be nice if the loading screen was eliminated. Certainly we don’t need to wait to load a calculator, do we? Secondly the options should be persistent. I like the larger button size and don’t want to have to adjust it each time.
This app is very good so far. However, here are my suggestions. “Expression open, “needs to be announced by voiceover whenever clicking into an active expression. Braille mode should not have to be toggled on and off in settings when using a braille display. of course, I am using an Android 8 plus. I have not downloaded the graphing calculator app yet, but I will do so when I can. I see this being helpful for my future students, and a replacement (if not an add-on) to the Orion TI 38 talking graphing calculator, and the Orion TI 34 talking scientific calculator.
I don’t know how to fix this- but something like 10 (to the power of 9) • 8, the answer will be 8 x 10 (to the power of 9). Just switching the order and symbol (meaning the same thing.) How do I fix this? Thank you
