It’s an app that charges you thousands of dollars to use but when you actually get the job you don’t get paid so what’s the point in having a job if you’re paying them but you don’t get paid at all?
I wanted to act because it was my whole dream since I was little, but now I have to PAY to ACT where I’m NOT getting paid? And half of the auditions I see require a voice reel, no problem right? Oh look, gotta pay just so people can hear my voice. I wanted to be a teen actor and get started nicely, this app did the exact opposite.
The app is ok for the most part. I really don’t like how there’s no way to resume where you left off in the search results after applying for something. You literally have to scroll past the same 100 you just went past before you found that one and then continue . Also, after you press back so many times, the results start to glitch and the same listings repeat over and over. you have to completely refresh and start again from page 1
Been using backstage for two years now and the app continues to glitch repeating casting calls while scrolling. Worst system ever for a company who charges a pretty crazy amount of money.
I had to delete the app and call to the Google support.
