This app, along with the suite of apps for teachers, all perform equally well. The developer is very responsive to feedback and does hios best to incorporate features. Users should remember that this app on Android is an import into Catalina from the iOS apps; it's a bit rough, but only because the tools on this platform from Google are that way. I'm sure they'll improve with Big Sur and following. Definitely worth your while if you're a teacher and dispise the even rougher tools on LMSs.
I’ve been a practitioner of standards based greeting and competency learning for almost a decade, and this app is the most useful tool I have found to help in the formative assessment process. With this app, I’m able to assess student learning on the fly in the classroom, give feedback, and adjust the teaching and learning based on that data collected. The best part is that I can share all of that with my students, giving them clear, actionable feedback. With a few simple taps, I can record the assessments, keep a record for myself, and return a pdf with comments to all of my students. I love the intuitive user experience, simple interface, and first-class support. I had an issue syncing between devices, and the developer replied immediately, worked through the problem, offered support, and even updated the app over the next couple of days.
This is perfect for the instructor who wishes to use rubric assessments, constructive commentary and real time feedback. Rubric Scorer can provide the perfect blend between data collection and constructive criticism, allowing the instructor or leader to focus on the learner's growth in the classroom, instead of using a final "grade" as a reward or punishing mechanism. The developers of this App have created an approach which is somewhat flexible, adaptable, and easy to use for any type of instructional setting. The developers are open to suggestions, and implement ideas... heard from you, the user... when it can benefit all. A huge plus in my book! Rubric Scorer also has functionality with other apps created by the developer, as well as the ability to import and export from Google Classroom. I have found myself using Rubric Scorer almost exclusively in my classroom, and will continue to do so. It is a great product, for the price.
There doesn’t seem to be an easy way to delete or re-record a media file attached to a rubric.
App is simple to use and has just the correct features. Takes a minute to figure out how to use but it does exactly what I want... create a rubric and tap to grade. The google classroom integration is perfect too!
