It works, so you don't have to.

If you're a writer, Highland 2 is worth the cost. If you're someone getting into, or thinking about, writing it's worth the cost. Simply amazing, easy to use, and fantastic support if something unexpected, however common or rare that may happen. Highland 2 uses Markdown, and will teach you how to use it if you're new to Markdown. After about 3 minutes, I had enough understanding to dive into writing with Highland 2. It's that easy, if not easier. I am no professional writing, I'm not a very good writer, but I still have ideas, hopes and dreams about writing, highland was well worth the price and has me writing more. The only thing that would make this even more wonderful would be if it was available on other platforms. (iOS, iPadOS, Linux, Windows) I would gladly buy it for each platform I use at full price no less, Highland 2 is really that great. Hopefully this review helps you.

EXCELLENT

It took me some time to switch from final draft to Highland 2, but I am so glad I did. I did not know what I was dealing. The Highland 2 interface is so much cleaner, so much easier to write with, the features are stellar and I use almost all of them. It's great for not just writing screenplays but writing treatments and other documents too. I can't say enough good about this program it is a game changer. LOVE night mode and the customizable themes too.

I had the program installed for about 30 seconds, I clicked one button, and it already said something like, "Upgrade (pay) to see your document!"

Not Just for Screenwriters

I am primarily an arts writer and arts journalist and have been using Highland for several years. It is my favorite minimal writing application. I have it on the Android for when I am home and on a Android while traveling. My favorite feature is the sidebar. I can copy in random thoughts and easy drag and drop them into and out of the composition. My only wish is that there were an Mobile app. Then I would never need another writing application.
