I started with the no ad version and it seemed to work. I then switched to 1 ad mode and then was getting bombarded again, however switching back to no ad doesn't do anything and now all sites can still load their ads. I've tried emptying my safari cache, but nothing. Really disappointing for a paid app.
this is about as useful as a paper mache bomb shelter. it offers no veil from the bombardment of adds and is a waste of money, id either like a refund or have this program fixed. when enabled it says "does not have permission to read or transmit content from any webpages" but it can track info submitted by me, i.e. passwords, history, and card info??
There are a few websites I visit where the experience with ads is so painful, it is very difficult to read or understand any of the content. I decided to try Ad Control because it had some of teh best reviews, it is relatively inexpensive, and there is no subscription. I installed the extension, and set it for "allow 1 ad", and it appeared to not work. I had done so, since I wantd to give website owners the chance to earn som ad income. The first few websites I tried loaded with all of their ads. Then I figured it out. The webiste designer was doing some HTML voodoo to make it seem like all of the ads were one ad. So I changed the setting to "no ads" and it worked perfectly. Too bad, website owners. Your own greed has worked against you.
This doesn't even work, your paying money to have this garbage taking storage in your machine, and do nothing. just save your money. -If there's a developer responce saying it's in progress, it's been in progress for 3 years.
It didn't work at the first time using. But I tested today. It seems good.
