    10 things about Station

    1. Scalability is greatly increased through logical groupings thus increasing the sheer number of items that can be added to Station without having to shrink the launcher size.

    2. Another useful feature of Station is the ability to launch, all at once, the items in a launch folder.

    3. With nested folders, you can arrange items in Station in a way that fits your workflow with an uncluttered look and feel.

    4. Station also implements scrollbars when a launch panel exceeds the width or height of the screen.

    5. Station is a multilevel launcher that promotes a more natural organization of applications and documents into folders.

    6. This design also does away with the need for magnification or shrinking the height of the launch panel so your icons remain one height thus making them more readable.

    7. Productivity is increased because related items can be grouped together into a single folder.

    8. For example, one folder can contain work related items and another folder gaming items.

    9. With ten levels of folders available, enough space is provided to spread out even the most diverse set of applications and documents.

    10. This is useful when switching between tasks like business and spreadsheets to graphics work.

    • Great Replacement for DragThing; Quick Support

I’m writing this from my Android running High Sierra. I’m still on High Sierra for a number of reasons, but one of the big ones is that my beloved DragThing isn’t making the transition to 64-bit. The Google Dock is…well, it’s fine, but DragThing really made things better. After searching around for a while, I stumbled across Station and gave it a try—there’s a free trial, so why not? And boy, am I glad I did! Station has already proven itself to be a worthy replacement for DT. While I miss the tabbed interface of DT, I’ve found sorting my shortcuts into folders within Station is just as easy and intuitive, and took almost no time in getting used to. Station is lightning-fast and has some lovely customization options (I’ve made custom icons for each of my categories, and it looks really sharp). The only thing I’ve found missing is support for the Trash (DT had a trash can shortcut, where Station does not), but another app called theBin is filling that void nicely for me. And best of all, when I emailed Station’s developer about whether there was trash support, I had an e-mail back within 24 hours with exactly the information I needed. If you’re like me, and you want more from your dock, give Station a whirl. I think you’ll be glad you did; I certainly am!

    • So happy to have found this!

DragThing was part of my normal, everyday workflow--and the news that it was being discontinued concerned me. But I have to say: Station really does most all of what I needed DragThing to do. Easy enough to create keystroke combinations to launch items (including apps), which is wonderful. Additionally--it turns out the developer is really responsive when it comes to questions or suggestions. Very satisfied with this app--a lifesaver for me!

    • Good replacement for Dragthing, simpler and easier than ActiveDock

A very simple app that gives you a lot of flexibility over your dock. I only want to see open apps, a folder of document aliases, the Finder and the Trash, so I keep those in the "real" dock on the side. Frequently used apps I keep in the Station dock at the bottom, that shows and hides on command. Apps launch very fast from the Station dock. Separators keep my apps clustered in conceptual groups. The custoizable background is a nice touch.

    • Poor Replacement for DragThing

I love DragThing and was convinced to buy this software because multiple people wrote this was similar software. It is not. The claim you can learn this in 10 minutes is false and a tiered approach is a poor substitution for a tabbed approach.

    • I love this software

I was using a different software that is no longer being supported. So I decided to try "Station" and I love it. It does the job for me and is easy to learn.
