The initial setup of the program requires that system prefs->extensions enables SnailGit. After enabling it per instructions, the program stops there refusing to acknowlege the setting. I was looking forward to using this but too bad.
If you’ve used Tortoise Git/SVN on Windows, you’ll be at home here. This utility is very useful if you use Finder to manage files under Git. It does just about everything you’d want. One improvement I’d like to suggest. It’s great that the dialog shows the output of the Git command that was executed. However, I’d also like to see the actual command that was executed… not just the result.
As a primarily windows developer, this is exaclty what I was looking for in terms of Finder integration. I have been used to tortoiseGIT with windows explorer, and was looking for an easy way to commit and push as well as view logs. This tool adds perfect icons to the file system with a familiar and easy to use context menu for performing common git operations.
