Marley Spoon for Android

Update: increasing my rating as the Marley Spoon team took this feedback and quickly made a fix. Any company that listens to its customers and implements changes based on that feedback is one I am happy to do business with. Old review: I’ve used and loved the Marley spoon service for nearly a year, and plan to continue using! However, the recent app upgrades have made me question that choice. It’s now so difficult to choose recipes, as half the options are just “upgrade” options- I can’t even see the main recipe I’m “upgrading” to! Also, removing recipes from the box used to be as easy as clicking the x, but now I have to go in and adjust the quantity, which just seems so backwards. The recipes and service are still great, but selecting my meals from the iOS app has just become too frustrating.

what can i say, been using this for three years and old app was very easy to use. Now, it’s simply broken and hardly functional. Examples, instead of seeing some of the recipie names you see a title like “add premium chicken” for something that looks like chicken parm. Also if you change your meal options and forget to go through the 3 extra clicks that it takes no to confirm, it sends you the meals you didn’t want. It used to be very easy, now it’s not. Please Fix!

The upgrade choices make it very confusing. They should be options on the meal, not multiple different separate meals. Too much repetition between weeks now. There used to be more options.

Used to be a nice app, until they made it primarily focused on upselling. While I’m not against the premium options, and I certainly understand a businesses desire to show add-one available, it shouldn’t be to the detriment of organization and usability of the app.

Placed an order after joining and on the day of arrival nothing arrived. Tracking information showed a label was not even printed yet. Tracking service would give me no additional information. The chat bot was absolutely no help at all. I deleted.
