I have been using TapForms for almost 10 years. Being able to share data with my OSX and IOS devices easily and reliably is wonderful. I have found T/F to be intuitive and reliable. When I have a concern, support has always been responsive. Like others I was using FileMaker Pro, but it became too expensive and had several features I had no interest in. This database program is just perfect for me.
I keep telling people looking for a way to store data for ALL kinds of stuff. Use the there is also a version for Mobile/phone and the SUPPORT IT GREAT!! I used Microsoft Access for more than 25 years and I’m telling you if you want something quick simple fast with GREAT support buy this darn thing
I switched to this database system when FileMaker decided to turn to a subscription model that is only affordable for larger businesses. Although some features of FileMaker that I used are missing, this database has almost everything I need. The developer is very prompt in replying to questions and very helpful in resolving issues. What is missing you ask: 1. Basic data validation — although I understand that can be accomplished thru JavaScript. Nonetheless, FileMaker's approach was easier for simple validations like unique values in a field. 2. FileMaker's Let function and its ability to free-form the formula field for easier reading of complex formulas. Again, JavaScript can be used for this. The power is there but finding out how to use that power is sometimes a challenge. Thankfully, there is a active community of users in the users' Forum.
I bought TapForms (and others) after I could no longer use Bento, which I loved. TapForms has proved to be the best of the replacements, but still isn't as seamless and is a lot more "clunky" . I wish it would integrate with my address book etc. but the databases are easy to format and populate.
