Needs ability to run/play in background

Without ability to run/play in background, it's almost unusable. I can't close the lid on my Mobile or it quits playing. Until then, I'll continue to listen via TuneIn and such. Further, and I'm not sure if this is the same issue or a separate-but-related one, when I connect to my speaker via Bluetooth every Notification (email, FB chat, etc) makes it lose the connection.
