I was ~6 links down a “you might like” rabbit hole on AppStore—a totally unrelated search—and found it entirely by chance. Nonetheless, I’m fascinated by all things philosophical, and love to explore new perspectives, so it immediately caught my interest. Requiring no money & nearly no storage space made the decision to download obvious. Scrolling down to click Install, I passed the reviews. Now, to be clear, I’m aware of whiny, overprivileged children with a compulsive need to express their enormous sense of entitlement; I realize this is their natural habitat; thought I knew what to expect & was prepared. True, I’d correctly anticipated the kind of statements, but the degree of selfish, shameless, abject egotism some reviewers displayed felt considerably worse than usual. It wasn’t simply a decision to value their wants over another’s needs, but rather seemed as though they were completely oblivious; literally unable to conceive of anything beyond themselves. So, as the title says, I have an offer for these authors: Since you feel such righteous indignation, take such great offense at the ad bar marring your reading experience, you ought to do it better. You should demonstrate correct behavior to this greedy developer by creating a new app, from scratch, using only your own time, energy, & resources; then provide it to the public at no charge. You’ll model the honorable way by hosting a server, covering the maintenance & bandwidth costs no matter how many people download it, and continue indefinitely. Speaking of maintenance, you’ll also have to update & support your noble endeavor to ensure that it works perfectly on every possible device, operating system, & user configuration. Aside from seamless operation in all cases, many users are likely to find it lacking in some way, & will no doubt inform you of its shortcomings. Naturally you’ll personally address all of their desires, if necessary customizing individual versions upon request. This will be extremely time consuming & costly, but you can do without food, shelter, clothing, etc. to ensure this vital work gets done, right? Yeah, this is the perfect solution. All the reviewers who feel that it’s wrong to place a tiny banner ad that might defray some costs can show this guy how it should be! I can’t wait to see what you come up with. Remember, though, it needs to be complete and perfect by yesterday, otherwise I will have no choice but to lower my rating. Good luck!
Really nice App and translations are very useful for me.
Look, I understand that making an app without advertisements is basically as free app. I want to use something when I’m on the go. If you’re going to have an advertisement have it opening app or something. Not right below where you’re trying to read. Defeats the purpose. And makes me question the creators motives for app. Deleted. Let me know once you decide that paath is more important than making $$$.
Hi great app but it’s extremely sensitive. I can’t even scroll down, it keep changing the page on me. Please update would really appreciate it.
This is great but the ads are distracting.
