Raindrop.io for Android

JUNE 14: Sigh. I had, once again, deleted and reinstalled the app with the 4.4.4 update. Now the last two days, it’s CRASHING again when using the iOS extension to save bookmarks. I’m pretty sure it has an issue (memory leak?) when trying to load bookmark folders. It typically crashes when trying to select the bookmark location. Sometimes it crashes before I can even enter the menu, but usually it’s once I’m trying to select a folder. PLEASE FIX ALREADY. (The autocorrect issue may be an Google issue? I noticed the same issue inside a Maps text box when giving feedback on a location.) MAY 20 Minus -3 stars for 2 issues I’m tired of dealing with. Considering Raindrop is one of the few prestigious apps on my main page that I use multiple times daily, these issues are multiple times annoying and unforgivable at this point. -1) Autocorrect has been missing in the notes section for the last 2-4 updates. I emailed you, the developer, but never heard anything about it. Please put this back. -2) In spite of my love for Raindrop, I am FED UP with the Safari share sheet CRASHING. It crashes EVERY TIME THERE’S A NEW UPDATE. But even worse, it’s now crashing when there hasn’t been an update in a while! So it’s just crashing. It’s broken. I have lost so much data and had to re-save so many websites and re-write so many notes because of this CHRONIC, year+ issue. When I emailed you, you said to delete the app a certain way to fully erase it. I did that: IT STILL CRASHES. Besides, deleting an app every time it updates IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I do not have to delete any other app just to make them or their share sheet work! If you need help pinpointing this, just reach out and I’ll share logs or whatever, but please fix this stupid issue already. It’s not tolerable considering how much time and data is at risk. -3) Just because I’m really annoyed with the share sheet extension, and now not even having autocorrect is a cherry on top of that irritation. Once these two things are fixed, my annoyance will be fixed, and Raindrop can be a five star app again. ORIGINAL Raindrop seems like such an innocent app and extension … yet it’s a mainstay of my daily workflow. I use it everyday on every device (Android, Android, Mobile, sometimes web) to save articles and their relevant notes. And the newest update with highlights is a pleasant surprise. It’s even on Android! I also just noticed a little pet peeve of mine has been fixed: when opening the extension on Android, the notes text box no longer shifts to the left of the preview image. It’s now full width! I’m happy. Raindrop is one of the very few apps that feels like it’s worth more than we’re actually charged.

This app is absolutely amazing for storing articles. I love that I can sort them into different categories and tag, and favorite, and highlight! Really top notch.

Everything I ever wanted. A lot of thought and effort went into developing this app.

Way, way too much space between names of nested collections. Either give people options or put normal spacing. ETA: And since you won't let me hide filters, dropping another star. And when I open the app, I DO NOT want to go to all bookmarks. Fix it or I'm dropping another.

I transitioned to this app from Pocket and find the user experience and options to be a substantial upgrade. Love the app.
