I'll add one more star because my last review was too harsh. There is a lot of real value in the app. But I don't think a desktop version is worth $40. I would rather pay a monthly fee to use the app across all devices or pay a fixed amount and pay an upgrade fee when updates are available. That my personal opinion. Needless to say, I did buy it and get a subscription because i feel it will add value to my project.
App doesn't seem to run AT ALL on OS X Catalina. I used to use this regularly for scheduling and laying out projects and LOVED it. It seems now it is just taking up space as it won't launch or stay launched. Hopefully they can fix this, or it was just a waste of money.
I used Shotlister on a very low budget film where I had no script supervisor or AD and was keeping track of circle takes and time managment WHILST directing at the same time. I could not have done it without using this app. I absolutely love the timing feature they have where every time you finish a shot and check it off it updates your time for the day. My only hope is that in the next few updates it becomes easier to update and change shots on the day. That was my only real complaint but thats just a timing thing on my part as I'd like to be able to change stuff on the fly a little easier and faster.
Paid $40 to download it and it doesn't come with all the features. What did I pay the money for then? Why do I need to pay an adidtional $10/month. Either be a subscription based app or give all the features when someone pays to donwload it. It's very frustrating to think you are buying a product and realize that you have to pay even more when you try to use it-- Please Fix.
This app is a godsend when on set, but recently the bugs have been on another level. While scheduling a day shot names will disappear after being rearranged. Notes are also losing their names and/or changing to another name completely. I'm spending most of the time fixing what disappears instead of actually scheduling my day
