As a parent, I like to be kept in the loop about what’s going on at the school. I’m glad the school is using SimplyCircle (third year in a row), because everything I need is in one place. The calendar, volunteer signups, photos and field trips announcements are all there. I like that I get notified when there is a new post or announcement. At home I log into the web version, but when I’m out and about I use the mobile app. Good app - and it’s free.
But it's buggy... When I edit an event it doesn't replace, but duplicates Then I need to go one-by-one and delete all of the "old" events Also, the keyboard in the add address field on mobile Android doesn't allow commas, so all group members need to be added one-by-one and saved out individually I do love the daily email digest! I hope videos are coming soon as well as a place to view important documents and photos
I had read a review on a mom tech blog that circle was a good way to manage group info. I've downloaded the app and can't add my basic group info. The app times out and gives me an error when I try to add a circle name. Too bad, thought the combination of features was a good one.
I'm just starting to check it out and it's exactly what I've been looking to use for our youth group! Some issues though: the photos are not showing up on the Photos area and there's no way to edit or delete older posts that I can find. Also, the calendar would be a million times better if the calendar could sync with google calendars! :)
