I’ve been using Medibang for Mobile ever since late 2016 and it’s honestly one of the best art programs I’ve ever used. I’ve used it on and off in the past, but recently due to other issues, I had to delete and reinstall the app but at this point I hadn’t been really actively used it for a month or so. However when I started using it again today, it was… certainly different. I was already familiar with the suffocating video ads they added not too long ago, but with the addition of the awful banner ad that sticks on the top of your canvas while you draw, and locking more features and brushes behind a paid subscription, I quickly realized this program that I love so dearly probably won’t be used much in the future anymore. If you’re an artist and you get distracted or annoyed by ads and locking basic features and brushes behind a paywall / subscription, I cannot recommend this to anyone anymore like I used to.
Usually MediBang works really well for me and I love the app, but ever since the most recent update of it I’ve been encountering a problem quite frequently. I’ll be working on a drawing for only a bit when all of a sudden it will freeze and then close. When I reopen the app my progress will be gone, with the recover feature not working properly for some reason? Usually I’d just start saving my progress more often, but the issue is the frequency of this occurrence- I’ll only have been working for like 5 minutes when it freezes again(and using the transform tool seems to bring it on quicker). Plus it’s super inconvenient not only having to constantly save my work, but to have to wait out the freezing for MediBang to close so I can open it again. At this point I’m spending a similar amount of time waiting out the freeze and reopening the app as actually drawing… please help!
It is a great app I suggest getting this app if you like drawing still figuring everything out though love the app! Sorry I am not using very good grammer
App requires an account to use, and creating an account always comes up with an error making the app unusable on Mobile Pro.
