Wire • Secure Messenger for Android

Wire used to be pretty good about alerts (I’ve been using it for years). For the past several months, however, it has been pretty bad about alerting me to new messages when I’m not in the app. As of today, even worse , it seems like they may have intentionally changed the alert behavior to not send the audio queue if the app is open. That is unacceptable to me, and a “feature” that has driven me away from other apps it the past. If this is not corrected soon, I may need to finally abandon Wire for another messenger.

Seems fraudulent to me. I was asked by a possible employer if I had the app. After installing it and not being able to actually set up an account. I reached back out to the employer for instruction or assistance and then they stopped responding. Seems sketchy We could of used any number of secure or popular free apps or options.

I only get notifications on one account, the others I don't and it's been this way for MONTHS, it's frustrating. Please finally fix this bug.

This app is 🚮 & a bunch of job recruiting scammers use it. I want to delete my personal information & my account but they don’t have a place to do that. Feels like a trap.
