I hope that the developer continues to develop this really useful app and add a field for “hourly pay rate”. Just fantastic.
I needed a basic timer, w/pause feature, to track my day so I can easily cal the comp time owed me. I didn’t need a program to track time per project. I was confused about the time card feature where it will post your total times - Developer was very responsive to my concern, (made a little mini video for me) got me squared away and now all I have to remember to do is remember to pause and stop at the end of the work day. But if you forget to clock in/out on time, but remember when you started or finished your day, you can go back and adjust in the Time Card window. This turned out to be exactly what I had been looking for. Simple, clean, sits on the bar, adjustable times, exportable. Thanks APPenzeller.
Pros: - Simple start / stop / pause - Can easily edit past timecard entries (useful when you mess up) - Can export your data in CSV (and also PDF) Cons: - iCloud sync not working for me - Closing the app and re-opening it erases timecard history - Android app could use some color (it’s black and white as the picture shows… reminds me of Office Space). If the sync actually worked and the OS X app didn’t erase my timecard entries after a restart, I would give this app a 5.
I have been using this since 1.0 and found several issues which have been steadily getting fixed. :-) The UI is simple and clean. You can kind of edit your time entries to the second, which is nice if you're OCD like I am. :-P It would be nice to have a quick way to switch tasks - I don't see one now, so I have to stop one, and then start a new one. "Worklable" seems to be a typo in the dialog that opens up to edit/export time entries. "Pause Time" seems buggy still - if you decrease it from 00:00:00, it goes to 23:59:59, which makes it angry. If you increment it, it doesn't remove time from the total and eventually freaks out again. Looking forward to version 1.2 now and I still haven't tried the mobile version - maybe it's better?
I work from home and this makes keeping track of work time so much easier. Definitely worth it for hourly at-home workers.
