How much aggravation to you want after you fall in love with an app, it's exactly what you want, and you want to write a 5 star review but then it starts hanging, then crashing. No problem! We are Android people right? The app truly is great - but it's about 8 weeks, and I made a decision to inventory a quarter of a million short films - and of course not all at once or in the same folder - never more than 400 - but after restarts, reinstalls, the entire BIG SUR PARADE of things we have to do for our apps - I have to move any cataloging over to the last computer in our 3 workstation video house that will still work with File List Export. Hang. Crash. Hang. Hang - and on the last step forever. I even made a new username on our workstation to test it. Nope. I narrowed the folders down to 100, 50, then that was clearly not it. The developer seems really great and sincere. Let's see what he does. I am pullilng for this app, but I just lost days of work that initially took seconds.
I scanned a folder with several thousand files. It took a good 40 minutes. At the end I realized everything was very small and difficult to read, so I decided to make the window larger. Only, on the bottom right corner, right where youād usually click to make a window larger, is a small button called āClear Resultsā. And I clicked it. And everything was absolutely GONE. So I started the process all over againā¦š” And surprisingly, no possibility to undo either! š” This is a really, really, really bad place to put a button. Another thing that made the spreadsheet very difficult to understand is that everything went into the first āFile Nameā column. There was no indentation to help understand what was inside which folder, and that is also very problematic when looking at a list of files. All in all, I wish I could have tried this app for 5 minutes before having to buy it. I wish I could get a refund.
