I recently purchase iThoughtsx App from the Google Store. Prior to purchasing I watched as many videos as I could to understand the product. I knew nothing on the subject “Mind-mapping” and I was only looking for a flowchart program. After doing my research and finding it interesting I decided to purchase the program and see if it would fill my needs. At this point I’m writing this review about 2 weeks after purchasing the program. I delved into the program seeing what it could do. WoW!!… Was I impressed. From my prospective it’s a combination of a flow chart, creative thinking and brainstorming combined. It allowed me to place my thoughts, ideas, or items in chronological order and then on a whim rearrange, correct, or add to them. Adding features such as starting date, completion date, percentage completed, and notes to each individual topic (box), and linking an associated item to a topic. To top this its allowed me many options of visually presenting my thoughts on the screen, which was very comfortable to my eyes and brain. I did within this short 2 week period forward 3 separate question to the developer wanting to know my options or needing better understanding on portions of the program. Basically “How to do”. I live in the US and the developer in Europe. All times I received helpful responses the next day. I am impressed with this program and am leaving 5 stars for the program as well as 5 stars for the punctuality of receiving solid comments back from the developer.
I've been using iThoughts for years and love it. For single mindmap creation, NOTHING beats this. I've used it in Med School, for brain storming, to organize my thoughts, and now in my PhD Program. It is a shame that it is never listed in the "Top 10 Mindmapping Software" lists. It deserves to be there. The only thing it can't do is linking across maps... but nothing can do that, except for maybe "The Brain", which is an expensive and serious database management program vice mindmaping.
... and easy to use.
I have been using iThoughtsX for years and the author has managed to provide frequent updates while keeping it stable. The integration with Marked a while back really took iThoughtsX to the next level. I get my ideas on the page with this great interface and them open the summary as a Markdown text document for development. It is always good to think "Yeah,I got my money's worth on that one," when closing an app.
Look - there is no mind-mapping software like iThoughts -- if you simply want the best! It is the real deal and a complete package. I use it every day to track complex projects.
