Express Accounts Plus for Android

The dicription of the software talks about its ease of use and that its highly customizable, I have to disagree on both accounts. Its very tightly controlled which may might be great for professional accounts but if you need to configure your invoices in a certain way and provide more information on an invoice its like cutting a wedding cake with a machete and the output dosen't look that great. Putting your business type in either "Product" or "Service" pretty much yeilds the same business set up. Changing/adding to the chart of accounts caused the software to constantly crash. I'm a professional service provider and the software treated my service items as if they are inventory parts for assembly. There is also no way that I can tell to bill against an invoice on a percentage complete basis. I asked my CPA to look at it and he just flatly said he didnt think it was for me after looking it over. On the Android it looks like a program that was ported over from Windows and doesn't take advantage of the Android's great graphical interface. For me this was a one time $129 mistake to avoide monthly charges for online accounting services from other providers. It might work for others, but not for me.

I’ve been uisng Quickbooks Pro for many years without much issue. The lastest version of Quickbooks Pro requires: a subscription, being online, and only stores data on Quickbooks cloud. Intuit had 5 years to improve product and used that time to make Quickbooks Pro worse and much more expensive. I just downloaded this APP a couple of hours ago. Without veiwing ttorials or using the help feature, I have been able to: enter all my payments for the month, reconcile the checkbook, back up my data to my business file folder on my Android, and create a couple of quotes (which easily convert to invoices). This is a very intuitive APP and well worth the price.

Good app for small business accounting. I was a quickbooks user for many years but I find this program more user friendly while also being more detailed. No more $40 per month for quickbooks online for me.
