Hawaii News Now for Android

I have downloaded then eventually deleted this news app so many times; more than I care to remember. I am finally giving up and deleting it for good! I have been patient over so many years hoping to see the HNN app developers fix it and see improvements! This is the crappiest most useless news app. It’s an abysmal fail. I can’t find news articles and when I get a notification and I immediately click on it should take me directly to that article but it doesn’t. I get a big page ad covering the entire screen and I can’t find the news. In fact I can’t find any news at all. When I finally find articles I can’t find the article specific to the notification I just received. I have many other news apps for national and worldwide news and it’s so simple. I’ll have to find a different app to get my local news. Here’s a tip….check out the other news apps and take a lesson.

I have given up looking at this app and had to switch to CNN or Fox News to get information though I live in Hawaii. The most unfortunate aspect of this is that there is now no easy access for acquiring information about what’s going on in Hawaii.

If you don’t turn on location settings AND allow for HNN to share and export this data — including your info from other apps — then the app won’t even open properly. Shame on you, HNN.

Click on notification, go to an ad, which is fine … then to … nothing, no story, a death wheel video reel that won’t load. I use the notification link to google the story now

I want to see news and breaking stories but it takes 3-4 swipes or inputs to get past the ads before you get to see one news article.
