Stop & Shop SCAN IT! for Android

I was reluctant to even try this app due to the low star rating, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was very easy to use especially if you are already used to using the in store scanners. All you have to do is use the instore WiFi and your hood to go. Definitely give this app a try. I will be using this instead of the instore scanners going forward.

Recently the app gets stuck on the last checkout screen used for purchase. I have to repower my phone to used the app again. Android Xs. iOS 16.0.2.

Updated 8/21/22: 1) Why is there no login prompt when u launch the app? The app is useless unless you are logged in so why is there no obvious way to login upon launch? 2) What exactly is the point of the wallet? You can’t pay with it. You’d think after you scan the barcode at checkout you could just pay with the wallet. Nope. So what is the point of it? 3) Getting randomly “audited” is a brutal experience. You have to find the worker in the self checkout and take up their valuable time to go get a scan gun then they have to scan 7 items to ensure you arent stealing anything. This defeats the purpose of the in-app scan feature. Why not just make us show our receipt when we leave and have them randomly check our bags for high priced items like Sams Club does? Original review: The scan part actually works but it has none of my coupons loaded (free items/digital coupons) rendering it useless. Also why cant I search the coupons, instead I have to scroll 150 items? Brutal. Can you also pass on to your team to fix the scanner in the regular app? I’s been broken for a month now.

Often will not connect with the Stop & Shop Wi-Fi. I have also recently been having an issue where I have scanned items, and when I get to the register, they show up as not scanned. The first time it happened, I thought maybe I had just missed something, but when the cashier scanned the “missed” item, it popped up as being scanned twice…so it WAS there. Unfortunately, having missed an item triggered audits for the next 10 times I went to the store. Today, I went again and neglected to double triple check that everything I scanned was listed before clicking “check out”, and another $.99 item popped up as not scanned, so I will now be audited AGAIN for my next 10+ visits😡. The app is just not worth the pain in the neck of its inconsistency.
