I am an occupational therapist and I loved this app for the children with special needs that I work with, but the new version is totally different. I want the old one back!! This one is visually overwhelming and doesn't have the visual tracking component that the old version had.
I think this app has potential but it was not worth the 4.99 I paid. It doesn't end the same level just goes on and on. You should add advancement levels. It's a very simple app and it's boring
Very poorly designed. Unresponsive. Waste of money. Seizure-inducing flashing background. Targets speed across the screen and no setting to adjust that for younger or disabled users. In all, a really bad app. The designer/publisher should be ashamed for putting out such garbage.
The touch target moves too fast. Was very frustrating for this parent to use, can't imagine my child trying to use it. The target bounces all over the screen like a fast moving Pong game. The background colors change. So there is just too much visual stimulation. Not sure why the target moves anyway since that's not the way touch screens work. Save your money. Zero stars.
This is a very effective tool to teach use of the pointer finger- I have a young student -highly motivated by the animations and sounds- who independently used his pointer finger for the first time I've seen, to activate the buttons in this app. I love being able to adjust the settings to allow for this, as well the length of time the animations are displayed etc. I have two other apps from this company and am pleased with them as well! *Just to be clear, I wasn't able to just hand this to my student and say here you go- it required facilitation from an adult and practice on/off the Mobile; I have since had some favorable responses with other little ones but I tried it with them knowing they would be good candidates, each child is so unique. I am glad to have this as an option. *
