wow. this app is crap. the only reason i downloaded it was so i could rate it terribly. after it was done downloading i opened it and the first thing i did was quit it, i was like "to complicated." whomever disigned this app should go to college and get a job other than designing apps because obveously they weren't ment to design apps. the app now lies in my trashcan, where it belongs.
Please rework, it's almost like releasing an alpha during development. Please go out and do a usability study and some business analysis before putting down a line of code.
The idea is nice, but a lot needs to be done to this app. As previously stated, integration with iTunes would be great (searching for release dates from artists already in iTunes). And I think there need to be more available settings--I entered the name of an author, and it gave me dates for literally everything (cliffnotes, audiobooks, translated versions, etc). Users need to be able to choose what information they want to be notified of. The UI needs work and it's slow. I won't be using this app as it is, but I'll be watching for an improved version in the future.
The App is a great idea but the UI needs improvement. Also there should be iTunes integration. If it could scan my iTunes library and tell me whats new based on the artists, actors, directors, writers... etc etc in my library that would be very useful.
Sadly, this app seems like it was made for users in 2002. The UI is cluttered and klunky. I couldn't imagine actually using this app on a regular basis.
