CHEF iQ for Android

I mainly bought this probe for briskets since my other wired ones kept dying - hopefully the sealed probe will make the difference in longevity. I’ve used the app on briskets and steaks and they’ve turned out exactly how I wanted. Freed me up to do other things while cooking and alerted me when action was needed.

Just trying to plug in and then set a temp is such a mess. Too much going on, too busy and overall wouldn’t recommend until a lite is available.

It forces you to make an account just to use the temperature probe. In order to make the account it forces an email verification. Of course it “cannot do that at this time”… Alright fine! I’ll just try to skip that and “add device” temperature probe so at least I can use that? Nope! Must send that email verification first…. I’m sure they will have no issue sending unwanted ads to my email and selling it off to others…

The probe and hub work perfectly fine. No issues so far. I would just like the app to have a temp/time scale. For long smokes on my Big Green Egg, I need to see how long the temp has stalled so I can wrap the meat in foil. Yea I could just keep up with the time and temp myself, but the time waiting for a 10-12 cook, there’s other things I need to do. Can’t just sit by my grill looking at the app and my watch. It would be an awesome feature to go along with the probe and hub.

Locks up ,denied access with passwords even after reset. Absolute garbage! Deleted!!!!
