Topo Maps+ for Android

I use this app as an added securitiy blanket when out hosting hiking and backpacking events.

Fantastic app! Multiple maps layers with easy to create routes make it customizable to your liking. Showing my age, I have dozens of Topo maps on DVD (all useless) and used to sync routes to my Garmin using a serial port. This has made me very happy!!! The tech support was excellent.

Doesn't always display properly on the screen, especially the popup boxes.

Why do I have to create an account with you to use your app?? I have no intent to make any purchases or so. Account creation should be OPTIONAL. I have way too many other accounts I have to maintain (for the right reason). BTW: you can't even close this app unless you creat an account (total nonsense). You have to force-quit it. I've uninstalled your app. I'd be happy to purchase it from App Store if you change your mind about accounts and tracking, otherwise: bye!

Never have I seen an app that has been as transparent and honest about it's subscription as this App. Not only did it present a beautiful UX explaining how the 7-day trial worked, they offered to send you a reminder before the trial expires in case you want to cancel and they made cancellation as easy as can be! No looking for it, just straight to the point! The app is good and has a good UX. It didn't really work out for me personally as I failed to make the trails that I needed for my trip. It's not far from being my perfect hiking app. With a little bit more polishing and improvements I believe it can get there. Specific concerns: Map performance is sub-par even on highest end devices. Route creation tools are not great and I couldn't create my desired route. Maybe I'm just not intelligent enough 🤷‍♂️
