I believe this is the first review I've written on the App store; however, as a full-time Software Engineer, I can honestly say this is an exceptional application. The simple fact that the app syncs with reminders (essentially using reminders as the database) is brilliant. This opens the door to use Siri and other Google integrations with reminders without any issues. Additionally, the developer is very active and communicates with all who have legitimate issues. I also prefer single purchase applications as opposed to subscriptions, so that is another reason I really like this app. 5 stars!
I paid for both the Android and Android apps so they could sync and it used to be great but now no matter what i try it just stopped syncing even when I try to do it manually. If i can't keep my lists consistent with each other then there's no point. I even did all the things suggested on the help forums from people with similar problems and deleting and redownloading the apps on both my phone and computer with no luck unfortunately. It's a decent app if you want it for either your computer OR your phone but if you want an app that can sync you might as well just use the free reminders that come with Google products or another app.
I spent a long time searching for the best todo app for me, and I landed on GoodTask. With all the possible customizations, you can set it up just the way it works best for you. The developers are prompt in answering support questions, and they consider customer suggestions for improvements. The integration with Calendar and Reminders is great. And the cost of the paid version (which I have) is very reasonable! I cannot recommend GoodTask highly enough!
Overall I like it. I've been using it on Android and Mobile and Android. Could use additional options in Smart lists for better filtering. Could use a better integrated monthly view (like Google's built-in calendar) - as I find I still have to use the calendar application despite using this for 99% of stuff. The UI is a bit cluttered in my opinion. It's still the best app presently to get integrated calendar and task lists working together.
I've tried them all and this one fits my work flow the best. Using Android To Do's as a base and being able to create smart lists and do so much more is what makes it work with all devices. The combo of Hashtags, priority and dates allows you to make Goodtask anything you need it to be. I think I'm 3 years in and every few weeks there is an update with new features. It's the Tesla of To Do Apps!
