This used to be the only app I used for news but unfortunately I will have to look for a new one since this one has been overrun with advertisements !!

Although I love the BBC I had to uninstall the app as the scrolling was jerky and not smooth, leading to eye strain. Combined with ads which load up after you have started reading an article causing the text being read to shift and adjust it was becoming too annoying to keep trying. A big pity. But the website on safari is simple and still works.
