Everything about Rise is interesting, except the base data for all it does: sleep tracking. I’ve been having terrible nights, barely sleeping, but Rise thinks I slept 8 hours. It may be an interesting concept, but if it fails completely at tracking sleep… it’s useless.
This awesome app has really helped me realize how important sleep is. It has also helped me understand my energy levels throughout the day and how to go about improving them. My suggestion is for everyone to try it, even if you think you don’t need it. It will give you a precious insights. Though I don’t think it’s expensive, given what you get in return, the truth is it is way out of my budget. Nevertheless, do try the 7 days trial, you’ll be thankful you did. When I saw this app I immediately liked the concept of tracking sleep debt, as I believe this was one of the things that ultimately lead to my burnout. I was hesitant on starting the trial period as I felt it was too small. Now, on my second day, I feel I am a bit disappointed because: - The app never gets my wake up time right, and I have both an Android and an iWatch. Looking at my phone or going to the bathroom are pretty much the 2 things I do when I wake up, so I feel that this should be pretty easy to nail down (I have another paid app that is very on point with this) - The widget didn’t get installed. I have tried to add it but it doesn’t appear in the search. - Since it’s advertised that this is the only app that works all day, I was hoping it would pick up naps automatically, since these are important for sleep debt. Unfortunately, you need to add them manually. I am going to give it a few more days, but will likely cancel my subscription as I feel this app still has a long way to go before becoming a paid app.
This app looks amazing and even the design is the perfect vibe, which is super important to me. I just wish it had a free version, even if with less information, since i don’t have budget for it. It’s a bit expensive, but if you can afford it I would say go for it.
The app description days “become a morning person”. As a working from home person with messed up sleep schedule (going to sleep in the morning, waking up in the evening) I was intrigued. I installed the app and granted access to my data. The data was imported incorrectly, saying that I go to sleep around misnight which is not true, so I fixed the last two weeks according to my real sleep patterns. Well, now it shows that I have no sleep debt (well, I don’t, that’s true) and that my biological night is when I usually sleep (duh). No tips on how to become a morning person whatsoever. Useless waste of time. Thankfully there was a trial period, at least I did not spent any money on this scam.
