I have used Preply for a long time and have found a great teacher there for private russian class. During the conflict in 2022, preply have suspended all russian teachers in russia over night just because of their nationality… As a student learning Russian language, i lost all contact with my teacher because preply cuts the tie without any notice. Furthermore, all the credits I bought to study with this teacher can’t be refunded. I don’t understand what these language teachers did wrong to be cut out like this. And what we students did wrong to be forbidden to learn a language and to get our tuition eaten for this platform. We all simpatize war victims and want to help. I don’t believe that isolating people who want to know each other better through language learning can prevent future war. Judging and banning people because of their passport can prevent future war. Treating the tutors and students who entrusted this platform by banning them or refusing to refund them the money just because of nationality and their geo-location can bring peace. i would not advise anyone to choose this platform. I will not use it anymore for its biased decision and the loss it causes to students

In general it’s a good app. Just lately the number on the app symbol which indicates a new message doesn’t disappear anymore. I checked all the new messages but the number doesn’t disappear.
