Very convenient and fast but needs improvement

I am very pleased that the process of PostIdent is now way faster than it used to be. All together it used to take hours of my time to print, sign, take everything to the post office and wait in the queue. I am, however, disappointed about the unnecessary manual work I now have to do with all this. The app asks me to take a photo of the front and back side of my ID. It then guides me through the process of manually typing everything on my ID into the app. What is the point of taking the photo if everything has to be entered manually. Photos are again taken during the actual identification process which is understandable. So, please use the processing power of modern phones and automatically read all the data from the protons I’ve taken. Just let me check if everything was read correctly. The person I talked to asked me to do so anyway at the end of the process. There‘s definitely room for improvement.

You wait and you have no clou how long. Hung up after 30 minutes. Tried again later with the same result. Sorry, but this is not eccaptable!!!!

Acceptable ID not automatically accepted

I was told that I could use the app with my U.S. Passport, but when I tried the initial photo document, the system pushed back. I used my German license and was able to get through to a very nice Post worker, but it should have had an option to chose the country from which the ID comes from before taking the picture...
